Description

The Field Blood Transfusion Kit - Basic (FBTK-B) from North American Rescue® is a comprehensive kit providing all the needed supplies to allow the user to rapidly perform a field blood transfusion. The Transfusion of fresh whole blood is the best option for the management of casualties with hemorrhagic shock. Blood transfusions have been used successfully in military conflicts and other austere conditions to resuscitate trauma patients suffering from shock due to hemorrhage. In an effort to extend shelf life, the supplies needed to collect blood samples for donor testing have been removed and are kitted separately in Blood Surveillance Module, item number 83-0025. These two kits when used together allow for all of the items need for field blood transfusion.
